Who here rides a motorcycle? We are teaming up with a restaurant for a motorcycle run. Lunch/dinner there then gelato at Sweet T's. Going to be a blast. We are going to check out this Brooklyn style food tomorrow and will let you know the details.

Quilting lessons at Sweet T’s. Here is a very basic quilt that i will teach you to make. We will start with precut fabrics, learn how to make squares into triangles, how to square up, border, back, quilt and bind your quilt. You will learn how to use quilting rulers and rotary cutters. You will learn chain stitching and how to get perfect points and you will learn the frog stitch. There will be two classes: daytime and evening. There will be 2-3 classes to make this quilt. If everyone gets done early I will show you how to make pillow cases to match. The first lesson will be about 3 hours, the second about the same. The third class is if there are questions and if you need help with binding. The fee is $50 per person. First come first served. Please pay in cash. Daytime classes are April 8, 15 and 22 at 9am. Evening classes are April 15, 22 and 29 at 7pm. Dinner will not be available 7pm or after so if you wish to eat please come early. Iced tea, soda and gelato will be available. Supply lists will be handed out at sign up. It includes going to a quilt shop and buying a layer cake of a fabric you love and a layer cake of white. You can make 2 so you can share with a friend to save money. You will need new quilting thread to match your white fabric, a seam ripper (wait until you start class so i can show you), and a machine in working order with the manual. Please review your manual ahead of time and see that you can put the thread on and put the thread on your bobbin. You will need small sewing scissors. I will share my rulers, cutters, iron.

Happy St Paddy's Day. We added a table to our dinner so we have 4 spots available. Contact us if you would like this 5-course dinner plus entertainment on 3/17 at 7pm. We are getting ready for Mother's Day. Ms. Ilene has already been making the Mother's Day cards and we have ordered the Italian chocolate for the strawberries. If you want us to make some for you please order them when you are ready. We will be making ALL of them the day before because they taste best when the chocolate is freshly put on the fruit. Soups: YUM Chef Dani's soups are delicious and we all love them. I still think the best seller is the cheeseburger soup. That added spear of pickle makes the whole thing taste so delicious. We will be finishing up our soups when the weather turns warm. We will not be serving them or the chili or other hot foods. It will be too warm inside. Our air conditioning is not the best. But, as long as people want soup we will make them and sell them from the freezer case. We will do this as long as they sell, otherwise we will put them back on the menu when it gets cold out again. In the spring and summer we plan on introducing some wraps and cold soups. Stay tuned. We had 3 winners for our new gelato flavor contest. I will be contacting them soon to invite them into our shop to help us make their suggestions then we will roll them out to the rest of the community. Congratulations to the winners! If you know me you know I am very driven and creative. I am doing all I can to hit the ground running at full speed when the warm weather is here and the kids get out of school. I have been campaigning for my goal of 10,000 followers on our Facebook page. From what I understand some magic happens for businesses when they hit that marker. Most businesses fail in the first year, but we are still here and plan on being here for a long time to come. It was a tough winter as I knew it would be, but it was better than I expected. We have so much going on! Ms Ilene brought in get well, mother’s day and anniversary cards as well as the usual. Come support this special lady. Ms Teresa has her art exhibit in the shop until the end of this month-don’t miss out. We start Financial Peace in our shop on 3/10 at 2pm. Come join us and change your life. Ladies bunco is Monday 3/11 at 6pm. Always a fun time! We have cakes in our freezer for your birthday needs. They are 20% off until they are all gone so we can make room for new products. We had so many birthdays in February that the twin cakes filled us up. Soups today are cauliflower cheddar and baked potato. Yum! The weather is going to be beautiful and warm. We are getting ready. I made my new favorite gelato: chocolate covered cherries. OMG soooo good. I took home most of it as it was a test. Tomorrow i will make some pans of it to share. Right now we have a limited supply. This is Teresa Townsend Hargis, and she is a friend and artist. Her artwork is on display at Sweet T’s. We love her work. If you are looking for a free event-come on in and enjoy looking at her beautiful work. As soon as I saw it, i knew the one painting was on Lake Como in Italy. Teresa visits the locations she paints and paints there, then she brings the paintings back and she finishes them and frames them. Some of these frames are ornate and are worth buying in their own right. If you are looking for a special piece consider one of our own. Teresa will be visiting Sicily soon and i cant wait to see how she interprets what she sees. I would love a painting of Mama Etna. Here are some pics of this lovely lady and some of her work. As you can see her work is very reasonably priced.

We have an art exhibit/sale at Sweet T’s. Teresa Hargis’ work is hanging on our walls for March. Come check out her work. Teresa travels abroad and paints what she sees. She is an amazing and accomplished artist. You must come in and see her work first hand. Here are some teaser pictures.

A temporary art event is coming to Sweet T’s. We will most likely be taking down some of the kids art temporarily so that you can enjoy, and purchase if you wish, some artwork from one of our own. More info to follow after we decide how to do this. Chef Dani is making more soup today. I don’t know what they are, i just know she asked me to get her cauliflower and potatoes. We close at 9pm tonight and it feels like a Spring day. The doors are open, the smell of fresh cones are wafting out the door. It is a perfect night for a burger at The Fillin Station, a pizza at SkyKing or a lighter meal of soup or chili at Sweet T’s. Whatever you choose make sure to stop by for a treat.
